Nekodashi’s Back/Pay for downloads?

So, as many people know, nekodashi has been down for a long time. Well, I recently picked up the nekodashi.info domain and I intend to eventually put the site back up. Now, this where things get interesting. I don’t think I’m going to buy hosting explicitly for it – I’ll probably just have it redirect to a sub-domain here at karlrolson.com. As such, any music available for free would probably just be hosted on various file sharing services (probably zshare with mirroring on megaupload and rapidshare.)
However, there is a service called PayLoadz that allows you to sell downloads containing anything that doesn’t violate their TOS, including music. My question is, would people willing to pay to download my albums via this service? Keep in mind, this could get stuff like Revision4920 available separately from the Complete Collection, and could even used to allow people to bypass the wait and hassle of the free download sites as well. Theoretically, it might even allow me to monetize individual tracks too.
TL;DR: who here would be interested in paying for deliciously DRM-free, 320kbps mp3 (or I could even do FLAC for some of the content) downloads?

In as much as my horseless carriage and I have returned to Kirkland. Amazingly, even though the Seattle-area had been long done with snowfall after I had arrived there, driving here seemed (still seems actually) sketchier than the driving I did in Spokane and Castlegar. Maybe it’s the fact that the temperatures hover around melting point, creating exceedingly treacherous and nasty conditions, though I’m inclined to say the people trying to push 40 on sideroad in their SUVs with California license plates may be a contributing factor as well.
Additionally, I have a new song on RhymeTorrents v.8, disc 3. It is available here. Lyrics after the break.

I also did a Drum n’ Bass remix of Random’s “Grow Up”. It’s raw, synthy and dance floor ready. Junglists, start your 1200s.

Three things:
1. Wack Thursday: Savings of an unknown amount on stuff in the store. You want to know how much (if anything) you may save? Check on Thursday*.
2. My birthday: you should wish me a happy birthday that day maybe.
3. Music: There might be some. Again, this necessitates a visit to the website on the 27th. What kind of music if there is music? You’ll have to find out. Maybe I’ve taken up polka. Maybe the Korg nanoPad I got for my birthday has resulted in some brilliant new material on the Minimal Techno tip. Maybe I’ve become a Hyphy artist, and I have a bunch of songs about getting dumb and ghost riding the whip. You don’t know. Maybe it’s only one song from The Fourth Estate.
These are mysteries. Solve them with the help of Robert Stack** on Thursday.
*=These deals will inevitably get leaked on some website, just like Target’s and Best Buy’s. ;D
**=Robert Stack will not in any fashion be aiding you in regards to solving these mysteries, nor will Chris Hansen.

Or rather, a cover/remix/reimagining of one of my drum n’ bass tracks (specifically “Sea of Stars” from Never Yours To Share It) by the genius drum n’ bass duo Negative PH. It’s on their just-released new album, OVRMND which is for sale on their myspace. That myspace also has their version of the song, “SOS,” up streaming as well.

So, while I still have been too busy to get my podcast together for Toon Zone in regards to AkiCon, the other little project that came out of it, namely doing a remix of Random’s “Grow Up” in the Happy Hardcore style has come to fruition:
If you remember PLUR, you might want to give this a listen. Thanks to DJ Jimni Cricket for inspiring the mix, and to Random for being cool with said mix.

So, my friend Derek and I ventured southward to catch a show by Nerdcore MC and friend, MC Gigahertz. He put a great show, though he was somehow, inspite of being the King of Absurdcore, out absurded by the next act, and the evening was closed out with the surprisingly awesome post-NewWave/Electro sounds of Love You Long Time.
Photos were taken, and appear after the break.

Good News: Hipster Please reviewed Opensource Lyricist. Fairly favorably too. I’ve been accepted to 8 schools (UVic and SFU have let me in.) I will have a song on RhymeTorrents 8. However, even all that good news isn’t enough to get me chipper…
Bad News: My grandfather had a stroke that screwed up his ability to swallow. Kind of offsets the good news by about ten-fold.

Before I put these up on ebay or take them to a Guitar Center/a Pawn Shop, I figured I’d have a shot a getting rid some pieces of gear directly to people I know. Is anyone interested in:
–Behringer EuroRack UB502 Mixer – $25 + Shipping.
–Alesis NanoVerb – $50 + Shipping.
–KeyFax Phat-Boy v.1 Midi Parameter Controller – $60 + Shipping.
–Yamaha SU200 Sampler – $125 + Shipping.
They’re all in very, very good condition, have been very gently used, and the sampler and mixer still have their original boxes. Hit me up via one of the methods on the contact page if you’re interested or have questions.
