This time around, it’s for my new solo CD, Romance Language 2. What do you get by preordering? 4 dollars off, and two autographed photos that will otherwise only be available at live performances. In terms of CD specifics, it’s clocking in at about 51 minutes and 15 songs, though that’s before any remixes/bonuses I tag on there. The release date will technically be December 1st, though I’d like to ship them as soon as I get them in. It will also be for sale on bandcamp.com. The first 10 preorders will be emailed an advance track off the new record direct to their inbox.
EDIT: Pre-order over. And I only got 5 of them 🙁

Last few days for Rai Preorders – Performances!

Yeah, pre-orders will end before Aki-Con, and the prices will pop up considerably. As such, you should probably get on that while it’s cheap. Meanwhile, Rai will be at Aki-Con, performing late Sunday. Hold up on your post-convention Denny’s, and stick around for a great show. Trust me, it’s worth it.
If you’re looking for some me performing, come December 13th, you’re in luck as long as you’re 21+. Full details are in the shows section, but the short story is I’m performing with Death*Star again in Seattle at the Jewel Box. Come out, support local Nerdcore, buy a copy of Romance Language 2 and have a great time.

Simplifying Preorders For Rai’s Record (Edit: It’s Over)

US Preorder ($10 US)
International Preorder ($15 US)
A reminder as to why you may want this: Rai Kamishiro Promo Video Go!
Plus, it’ll save you money, and if you’re quick about it, you might still get the LE version with alternate cover art and secret bonus material – ah, the LE is sold out; however, there are still plenty (ok not really, this first run is going to be fairly limited too) of delicious regular editions to buy too.
EDIT: Pre-order’s are over folks! Check back later for regular order links.

Ok, that’s probably an over exaggeration. After all, massive back-catalog of music to record and adept production work for new luminaries aside, I am only in the middle of readying both Rai’s debut album, Electric Sheep, and my new record, Romance Language Two. Actually, I’m done with Romance Language Two outside of mixing/mastering (well, I have another 3 or 4 songs I could record for it if time allows, maybe in November.) At the moment, everything I’ve got is being poured into Rai’s debut, and she’s putting as much time as her vocal chords and job allow on this to get it done in time for AkiCon 2009.
BTW, that’ll bring the official count of releases this year for me up to seven. A mixtape, a remix album, two mash up eps, two personal albums and a collaboration album. I won’t rest on that either cause I’m going to help Nursehella however I can with her debut record.
Oh and I’ll find time write another couple anime reviews in there too, and upload my records to bandcamp so all you folks can buy them via the internets. I may not be successful at what I do yet, but stopping me is easier said than done.

Sequels Part Uno: Redid The Mash

So I made a six song long mash up EP in a weekend earlier this year, and well, I got the itch again, so this time I made a six song mash up EP in 4 hours. I present, Ultraklystron – Redid The Mash:
Badongo – DepositFiles – MegaUpload – RapidShare – zShare
Of course, beyond the fun of me ruining songs from some of my favorite artists is that this has a sneak peak at Romance Language 2, with two songs from said upcoming album on this release in mash up for form. BTW, I have four out of 12 songs done for that record.

I am back from Victoria, BC after a lovely visit with Danielle. She showed me around the city, and I have to say to all my goth loli friends and my otaku friends – get up there and visit. Between the lovely tea rooms, old architecture and awesome china town, you must see that city when you get the chance. Anyways, she and I had a fantastic time. We saw GZA of the Wu-Tang Clan live, we went to a bunch of cute restaurants (all of which were quite economical,) we watched tons of anime (Ouran Host Club) and we walked all over the city! We even won trivia night at the hostel we were staying at, netting us free gift certificates for the hostel cafe and a local diner, and we also won at the Deal or No Deal arcade game at the first try, netting us cute folding fans. I am looking forward to future visits as well. Victoria’s a lovely city – pity UVic won’t take any of my BCC credits without way too much effort spent.
Next up, in the interest of maybe spurring some interest in my most recent commercial release, The Fourth Estate, I’ve decided to pull a Random and release a shareware, stripped down version of the same record, in this iteration called The Free Estate. It’s only 11 songs (vs. 19 on the actual record,) and it’s encoded in 128kbps mp3 for that late 90s piracy sound. Download it from one of the several links below before the links inevitable dead links happen:
badongo – depositfiles – megaupload – rapidshare – zshare – sharebee
Lastly, you may want to check out the song I’ve done for Nerdcore Rising’s Song Fight. I don’t really want to win (chance to see NYC aside,) but it’s a fun song you should totally check out. Lyrics are after the break.

It’s a Remix LP!

And it’s free, free, free: Download it off megaupload, and if you don’t like megaupload, download it anyway, repost it somewhere else. and then link me to it.
Anyway, it was a fun little exercise, and it’s reflects where I’d probably take a new Rap record. Darker, harder, techier and nastier. I’m growing weary of polished synths, and sample clearance is a chore. Why are you still reading this? Download the album already.

I accidentally a show, is this bad? / Progress

Details are in the show section, but I’ve got a show at The Blue Moon on July 30th. I will try to rehearse up, but this is my first show in a year; it should be an interesting experience as such. Also in attendance will be Death Star and I think also Press Start to Rock and/or Snickerpuss. Kinda fuzzy on those details.
Meanwhile, Rai and I set up a makeshift recording booth at her house, and I lent her a solid USB mic so she can record vocals for her album. This should, theoretically atleast, speed up progress on her record considerably.
