Comcast Rage

The internet line to my house is outright broken – can I see that a bird or squirrel must have nawed through it. How this hasn’t taken out my TV as well is beyond me, though maybe it’s muxed in the box on the side of my house. There are enough wires being slung over to make that plausible.
Anyway, upon calling Comcast at 10 in the morning today, they said they couldn’t get a truck out for a day. This has delayed the digital release. Sorry about that. Yell at them or something.
PS: I am so looking at FIOS after this. I’d get the Funimation channel too.

Wow dude, sorry about that. You should rage against nature and all it’s fuzzy little inhabitants.

Sad day. I feel so disconnected when the interwebs are out.
On a happy note, not only did I manage to not get laid off (long story), but I also have in my hands (well not literally in my hands because it would make it hard to type) my very own copy of the fourth estate! I am ripping it into digital format in order to play in my car, and also in order to torrent to the masses! j/k j/k

I am definitely liking the first two tracks the most, but the rest of the album is great as well. It’s probably going to take a couple of listens before I truly pick my favorites. I’m hoping as I did last time that your retirement from nerdcore isn’t permanent, but I know what kind of work goes into producing an album like that.

I’m not retiring. Maybe not cutting a record for myself for a bit (gotta finish Rai’s and Hella’s respective records) but no, I’m not retiring. I got commitments to follow through on.
Also LOL at Comcast having a blog patrol – maybe that’s why it took a day to get an appointment. Besides, my internet’s back – they rewired the whole house and gave me a new modem to do it, but there you go.
Besides, FIOS is still tempting since I’m gonna get stuck with cable boxes in about a month from Comcast anyway – if I have to start jumping through hoops just to permanently record stuff off TV (DVRs are temporary) I’m might as well get an all anime channel to go with that hassle.

Oh, whew, had me worried there. ^_^ I personally am not retired, but I think you released 2 full album releases since I have, and also taken a retirement of sorts in the meantime. So I gotta admire your follow through.
I did have a technical question I’ve been meaning to ask you. What software do you use for recording vocals? I have not been able to get a terribly good result from Garageband. I am finally getting some good presets though.

I use Audacity for vocal recording. The key is I also use a hardware compressor before it hits the computer.
Also, I technically released the following after the supposed “I’m taking a break” in 2007:
Opensource Lyricist (Nerdcore Album)
Imitate (EP)
Doujinshi (Electronica Album)
He Did The Mash (EP)
Desu Desu Desu (Mixtape)
The Fourth Estate (Nerdcore Album)
Plus, I finally kicked out some old stuff I was sitting on too.

Yeah, I did Audacity for a while. The problem I ran into was the program I use for sequencing (Jeskola Buzz) had major issues with adjusting the placement of the audio in time (I don’t know what you call it). I guess I’ll just keep plugging away at Garageband till I get it fine tuned to perfection.
Also, LOL, you certainly showed me up by a longshot. You probably drop a couple tracks per week? I better pick up the pace picante sauce, and get to work on my projects.
