Simple Things

So, after my Burgerville post, I did a little shopping. To be fair, I’d already done a bit, but after getting some very basic groceries and few basic kitchen thing, I realized there were some holes in equipment. Some of this was pretty non-essential stuff – like a kettle (I could always grab a spare from home when I’m up visiting) and a sink plug – some vastly, vastly more essential (a knife and paper for my printer.) However, it was nice to get out again, and think a little.
Speaking of essentials, thank you linksys for letting me post this, if you know what I mean 😉 Nothing like a little internet to take the edge off of the ronery. Still, big doings to get done, well, today actually. I should try to get some sleep.

Hi Karl, I’m a fan and I’ve been following your adventures on this blog for couple years now (though this is my first time posting a comment). Anyway, I wanted to wish you all the best. It sounds like things are going to get very exciting from now on. And hectic. It reminds me of when I was in a roughly similar situation a long time ago.
I was given a great bit of advice that I’d like to share:
Focus on what’s most important to you (school, girlfriend, etc) but never forget: it’s impossible to focus on those things if you’re stressed or unhealthy. So, first and foremost, take care of yourself. The advice sounded selfish to me when I first heard it, but it turns out to be true … suppose your girlfriend or a family member needs you but at that time you can’t because you’re too sick or stressed from late nights of studying, ya know?
Anyway FWIW that bit of advice has always helped me balance things and stay more relaxed in general.
Hopefully you also find some time to put out some more music but since I’ve already got the “Complete Collection” I have at least enough music to tide me over for 4 years 🙂
