Are we back up? I hope we are back up. Stuff like this gets old pretty old pretty fast IMO.

If this works, thank you serverway for getting things done. Otherwise, oh snap.

Edit: it works. Now do I dare try mypress again?

What the heck…

ServerWay is supposed to be the company that hosts my site.

Right now, however, it’s some fanatical religious site.

Hacker maybe? Host gone crazy? I dunno. I know I’ve got a bad feeling about this though, so everyone who digs my stuff might want to download what you can now before stuff really gets weird. If my site gets hi-jacked, y’all know what happened. Check the LJ for further updates as this situation “progresses” (I use quotations because I wouldn’t call losing my site to a hacker or religious fanatic – maybe both – progress.)

I suppose it’s stuff like this that keeps life “interesting.”

But cross posting doesn’t. Sorry LJ and Myspace friends, but as best as I can tell, it was the LJ/Myspace crossposting attempt that blew everything to bits in the first place. I’m not repeating that problem until I can ensure I won’t screw anything up.

Friday: I went to home from AK to my little bro and Dad, then we all headed down to this karaoke night at my little bro’s school. The cool and lame part of the whole affair is that people recognized me even I’d graduated from that school in 2002, and not just the teachers. Cool cause it means I don’t feel totally uncomfortable and out of place, but lame because it’s still going out to a social event for high school kids. I mean, it was a warm welcome back, but I just felt weird about it. Anyway, that’s the hitch of a combined high school/jr. high I guess, especially if you’ve got a little brother who is almost 8 years younger than you who now goes to the same school. I did get up and sing “Rock the Cazbah” with my little bro and couple of the kids who remembered me, and that was fun, so it’s not like the whole evening felt off. I even wanted to get up again and do Rapper’s Delight, but they were running low on time, so they had to get everyone in who didn’t have a chance at it earlier.

Saturday: Did less than I should have been doing. Tomarrow (today?) much stuff will have to get done. Hopefully it all comes together nicely.

Cause I’ve just admitted defeat to myspace.

The things I do to get better connected to people. Ah well, time to find another crossposting script.

PS: Shoot me if I ever get a dead journal too.

Atleast with all these pesky remixes popping up. BTW, the linked remix is in yet another style and is of an entirely different mc chris song, so if you were getting tired of me messing with illy oi, you’ve got something different and outright strange in that mix.

Meanwhile, I went crazy trying to get around Seattle trying to drop stuff off to my mom. However, made me realize a few things about the city:

1. It’s very pretty. It’s got an overwhelming urban aesthetic that for the most part has a lovely gloss and cleanness to it that just looks cool.

2. It’s laid out horribly. Those one ways make me want to scream.

3. No way I’d want to live there. I’m a suburban kid, I like trees and I hate traffic that dense.

Also, mapquest sucks. Atleast in this case.

Atleast making remixes can chill me out pretty nicely. That and 7-11s with Big Gulps and Fresh Brownies. Ah, that made it all peachy and worth while.

rolled the counter/more mc chris remix already?

Haha, rolled the counter at the .com over the 2000 mark. Not bad for keeping track since June.

Since I’m not talented enough nor driven enough to post celebratory 2000th post art, and since, I’m apparently not done wrecking up mc chris’ stuff, here’s something to celebrate my 2000th post:
mc chris vs. ultraklystron – illy oi (everyday life mix)

Now me need get sleep now. 😀

Then I have to go and wreck them up over some generic jump up drum n’ bass beats.

BTW, the above mix isn’t my submission to the related contest, I’m just getting my usual MC remix out of the way. Besides, know it’s at 170/85bpm, so I can start thinking about different styles that work in that tempo. One of these days I should mega mix them together. Not today though. 😀

Another preview track:

Coin Figure

Pertinent notes on this track: I was going for a mix of old-school rap sound, the “screwed & chopped” sound and a bit of game music still too. Lyrically, I was trying to tell a story, and I’m fairly confident in the result, but it’s not really my forte. I’m trying to get into that kind of lyrical content more because it’s got more potential I think.

Lyrics are up on the album page. 😀

So, I’m looking for a power supply, because what with the 2.99V readings on the 3.3V line, I’m thinking there might be some trouble a brewing. Maybe explaining the It’s not even under heavy load and it giving me trouble. So, that’s on this weekend’s to do list, along side of Beppos with hopefully a large portion of “the crew.” But yeah, right now my computer needs, alas, even more revjuvination. If needs much more, I’ll be looking at the fact that getting a good barebones system and slapping the parts of my machine that work (audio, video, ram and HDs are the only things I’m confident in at this point.)

And yeah, still looking at more processor… Nerdcore life really ain’t simple, is it? If it weren’t for the fact that I can atleast do the maintaintance myself, this’d drive me crazy. I could not tolerate it.
