Cause I Can’t Win

So, my computer seems to have died. Catastrophically. Not only is the current HD in need of back up before it fully gives up the ghost, but Windows refuses to install on to a new HD, throwing a System 3 Initialization Error, what ever that is.

I really don’t want to have to get a whole new barebones system and start from scratch, but that’s looking to be the way it’s going to have to be. Darn. Next HD I’m getting is Samsung. Those seem to be bulletproof.

Got another track backing done with lyrics to record. I should probably get my recording on tomarrow and get some vox down on hard disk. Atleast get one track down, maybe two. Probably the title track I think it. Anyway, this gets me to ten originals. Just need one-two more (depending on how long and/or good the next track I write full lyrics and backing for is.) I’ve got bits and pieces. Hopefully, they can be shaped into something more.

Now Playing: “Kanye West – Diamonds from Sierra Leone” (thanks ITunes.)
You know, normally I don’t like mainstream rap, but there is just a certain beauty to Kanye’s production that’s very enjoyable. I may not always see eye to eye with his lyrical content, but he’s easily one of the most talented producers of his generation. He’s got bold and inspring production, the kind of cinematic and climatic production that makes it feel like a movie in music.

Meanwhile, in true old skool Karl bloggin fashion here’s a mini soda review. New Jolt Blue is pretty plattable. It’s also bright blue. The bottle/can is pretty awesome too. On related note, my bro and I walked to the local AM/PM. The long way at that.

And I need to organize a party for Charley (yay I can spell now.) Or atleast have dinner with her and the rest of the AK crew on Thursday.

“I’m Bobby Fisher! I’m Bobby Fischer!” – The Book of Laughter and Forgetting, Milan Kundera

So, I aced every class I took this semester. Every last bloody one! So, I am now perfectly happy with quitting Target cause clearly the end result was a better GPA and a better social life inspite of a thinner pocket book. I’m freakin’ ecstatic right now. I feel excellent right now. Incredibly satisfied!

Meanwhile, I’ve given Charlie’s computer even more power (cue Tim Allen grunting) what with the RAM boost and the DVD+/-RW (single layer, as I’ve upgraded mine to dual.) So, now she can survive the wilds of rural North Carolina with all it’s West Nile and lack of bookstores because she’s got a computer she drop fansubs and write fanfiction on! This leads into hanging out at Anime Kingdom with Lea, Lucy, Nami, Charlie, Tanya (in a dress!) and Glen. Good times and CocaCola was had by all (well, Lucy didn’t get her own Coke, but she sipped off everyone elses.)

Wow, talk about boring, inane blog fodder!

Too bad, I’m feeling good, so I’m gonna be silly!
